Shall B Studio, a specialist Events, Digital Marketing and Graphic Design Studio focusing on the IT and technology sectors, has helped its client Infinetix garner its first Excellence in Marketing Award at the recent Dell Technologies South Africa Partner Awards.
The Dell Technologies Marketing Excellence Award is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon businesses who demonstrate exceptional innovation, creativity, and effectiveness in their marketing strategies within the technology industry. This award celebrates outstanding achievements in driving impactful campaigns, cultivating customer engagement, and achieving measurable results. It signifies a commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and the ability to leverage cutting-edge marketing techniques to deliver compelling messages and solutions to customers. Recipients of the Dell Technologies Marketing Excellence Award exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and ingenuity, serving as inspirational leaders within the marketing community.
Business IT specialist Infinetix reports that with Shall B Studio’s support, the company extended the scope of its Dell Technologies marketing campaign in the past year. This helped drive ‘phenomenal growth’ in 2023, and also secured the company its first Dell partner award.
David Musikanth – marketing lead and Director at Infinetix, worked closely with Michelle Visagie, Founder and Director at Shall B Studio, to develop marketing campaigns with greater reach and impact. The results of the extended campaign were measurable and impressive, Musikanth says.
Adapting to change and stepping up marketing
“Infinetix is a Dell Technologies Platinum Partner, and Dell has been a key brand for us for 15 years,” Musikanth says. Over the years, both the business and its marketing focus grew steadily. Shall B Studio has worked as an extension of the Infinetix marketing team practically since the agency’s inception 11 years ago. Visagie supports Infinetix with everything from marketing, events, branding and design to PR and social media management.
Musikanth explains: “A lot has changed at Infinetix over the past year – we changed our strategy and Board of Directors, took on new hires, and became more structured. As part of these changes, we made a decision to significantly step up our marketing of both the Infinetix brand and our Dell Technologies solutions. This has been a key component of our success.”
Visagie worked hard to drive marketing that delivered more leads, with extended reach and heightened brand awareness. This saw her making more creative use of the Dell Technologies Marketing Development Funding across in-person events, digital campaigns, PR and even – for the first time – a telesales campaign.
In-person events and roadshows have also proved highly successful for the company.
Visagie says: “It is important to cover all elements, but for Infinetix, events, digital campaigns and telesales are working best at the moment.”
For ongoing brand awareness, Infinetix has a presence across key social media platforms, and regularly engages with customers through competitions. The company also sponsors the Stormers rugby team and Dricus du Plessis, benefiting from branding at matches and DDP’s Belt Tour.
For Infinetix, the measurable results included increased social media reach, better brand awareness, new customers, and increased engagement with existing customers – with a dramatic uptick in sales as a result.
Musikanth says: “Our partnership with Shall B Studio is going from strength to strength. When you deal with an agency, it’s very important that they understand both your brand and the sector you work in. Michelle has a deep understanding of our goals and strategy, as well as Dell Technologies’ objectives. She underwent the Dell Technologies marketing training and understands how to deliver the expected results. On top of that, she is constantly thinking out of the box to find new ways to build our brands.”
Visagie says the fact that Shall B Studio specialises in IT sector marketing has helped drive the success of the campaigns. In addition, close collaboration ensures that the marketing is fully aligned with Infinetix’s changing strategies and goals. Visagie says: “Infinetix is my baby too – I feel like part of the team. It’s so important to me that they do well.”
Infinetix, now working towards achieving the top tier Dell Technologies Titanium Partner level, believes marketing is critical for its ongoing growth. “You have to stay relevant in this space, where technology changes daily and the industry is relatively small. Good marketing ensures our name is out there, and that customers regard us as a legitimate business making waves,” Musikanth says.
